About Author Richard F Holmes

I was born in London in 1955 and have lived a very topsy turvey life. I left school at 15 with no qualifications, and had I not left voluntarily, I would have been asked to leave. I always felt that I didn't fit in anywhere, and as a result, by the time I reached the age of 17 I'd had 24 jobs. I joined the army in 1976 hoping that it would give me a purpose in life but instead I became even more disillusioned and turned to alcohol. I hated the army because I found it to be such a hypocritical organisation and as soon as I was eligible to do so, I bought myself out. Whilst in the military however, I did enjoy my experiences in Germany and in 1980 went back there to work, staying for six years. My heavy drinking continued during my time in Germany and by the time I returned to the UK in 1986 I was heading down into a deep depression. I managed to haul myself out of it in the mid-to-late 1990's but my life hit an all time low in 2000. In early 2001 I found my spiritual pathway and started to turn my life around. I now live in Gloucestershire in the UK and I'm a successful medium and healer. I'm also the author of ten spiritual publications and have produced five meditation and three chanting CDs. I'm a workshop facilitator in various spiritual topics and I also give profound interpretations of dreams. There are plans in 2014 for another book, provisionally entitled "An Idiots Guide To Spiritual Law" and a series of audio books in CD form. Thought For The Day #23

Hope, like the gleaming taper’s light, adorns and cheers our way; and still, as darker grows the night emits a brighter day.

Oliver Goldsmith

Below is my favourite quote from Swami, so you have a double dose today friends!

Plant Love In Your garden

What a wonderful world it would be if we all had a garden such as this!
 Plant your garden 2012
“life is too short for drama, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly”
How To Plant Your Garden
First, you  Come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses.
FOR THE GARDEN OF YOUR DAILY LIVING ,
PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS :
1. Peace of mind
2. Peace of heart
3. Peace of soul
         PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:
1. Squash gossip
2. Squash indifference
3. Squash grumbling
4. Squash selfishness
PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:
1. Lettuce be faithful
2. Lettuce be kind
3. Lettuce be patient
4. Lettuce really love one another
NO GARDEN IS WITHOUT TURNIPS:
  1. Turnip for meetings
2. Turnip for service
3. Turnip to help one another
TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE   THYME:
  1. Thyme for each other
2. Thyme for family
3. Thyme for friends
WATER FREELY WITH PATIENCE AND CULTIVATE WITH LOVE.
THERE IS MUCH FRUIT IN YOUR GARDEN BECAUSE YOU REAP WHAT YOU  SOW.
NOT BAD, HUH?!

Thought For The Day #22

Our natural state of being is joy, and it takes so much energy to think negative thoughts, to speak negative words, and to feel miserable. The easy path is good thoughts, good words, and good deeds.

Take the easy path.
May the joy be with you,

Rhonda Byrne

Thought For The Day #21

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Thought For The Day #20

Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Andre Gide

Thought For The Day #19

There exists in every person a place that is free from disease, that never feels pain, that cannot age or die.  When you go to this place, limitations which all of us accept cease to exist.  They are not even entertained as a possibility.  This is the place called perfect health.

Deepak Chopra

Though For The Day #18

The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.

John Muir

Thought For The Day #17

Whatever you can do or dream you can; begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Thought For The Day #16

In the midst of winter I found there was, within me, an invincible Summer.

Albert Camus
