The scientists say, “light years divide us, what we see twinkling in the night sky is already long gone, they are already dead; long since exploded.” If that is the case, how kind and thoughtful of the stars to leave us such a fascinatingly beautiful legacy.

Why do you weep for me?
I have not gone anywhere.
You will see my uniqueness
in the intricacy of a snowflake.
Before I melt away,
then entertain you with a dawn chorus,
tantalise your senses with earthy richness,
as I spatter the land in raindrops.
I twinkle with happiness
when you gaze up at the stars,
or look into the eyes of a new born baby.
Your heart yearns for me.
Follow the path of your yearning,
it will guide you to its source.

There shall we meet,
and melt into the timeless abyss
