Cover Reveal – The Amazing Journey

I am very pleased to reveal the cover for my February 2013 release The Amazing Journey. I would also like to thank my friend Stephanie Keyes at Sycamore Road Design for creating it for me.

Synopsis

Previously published as Astral Travelling, The Avatar And Me. This is the revamped version with an extra chapter.

In 2000 my life hit rock bottom. Emotionally I was totally spent and did not see any way out of the mire that I found myself in. This book tells the story of how (with a little help) I managed to turn my life around. Miraculously at the onset of the new millennium I started to embark on a series of truly amazing out-of-body adventures, and as the years have gone by, I have learned to pass through solid objects, propel myself in whatever direction I wish to travel, and unbelievably, “will” myself back into my body when I become bored with the journey. As if that wasn’t incredible enough, I have also been blessed by the Avatar of the age himself, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who first entered my life in 2001. Since then I have had a series of truly wonderous experiences with Baba, the highlights of which were being held in his arms during an out-of-body experience in 2006 and seeing him in physical form at his ashram, Prasanthi Nilayam (abode of the highest peace) in Puttaparthi, Southern India in October 2009.

Happy Bunny

I must confess to being a very happy bunny! On 9 January, Having ordered a proof copy of my latest CD Mantra For The Soul on 23 October 2012, and having experienced shennanigans with Amazon CreateSpace, it finally arrived. The cover looked great both inside and out, and the label looked great as well; not only that, I played it and all was in order. By way of the cherry on the cake, a consignement of author copies of my book, Inspiration For Breakfast, arrived on the same day. This was particularly pleasing as I only ordered them via snail post on 26 December so I wasn’t expecting them to arrive until well into February.

A Head’s Up From The Rickster

I thought it was about time I got my fingers tapping on the keyboard again, even though it is just to say “hi”, I’m still here”. I know I’ve been really quiet lately, but the shift has been taking its toll on me, and to be honest, I just haven’t had the enthusiasm to write. Of course, a lack of enthusiasm to write is not very conducive to the productivity and creativity of one who writes. So, here I am, just saying “hi”. I would also like to say that the following of my blog is not something that I take lightly; in fact it’s a great honour for me to know that people around the world have taken the time and trouble to follow me. It means a lot to a writer to know that people are inspired (and hopefully, at times, amused) by what they write, and I am no different. So, there it is, I’ve said “hi” and now I’m off again. But before I go, I couldn’t write to you and not leave you with something inspirational. I’ve selected a passage from “A Course In Miracles” Teachers Manual, and I hope you like it. See you soon!

Strictly speaking, words play no part at all in healing. The motivating factor is prayer, or asking. What you ask for you receive. But this refers to the prayer of the heart, not to the words you use in praying. Sometimes the words and the prayer are contradictory; sometimes they agree. It does not matter. God does not understand words, for they were made by separated minds to keep them in the illusion of separation. Words can be helpful, particularly for the beginner, in helping concentration and facilitating the exclusion, or at least the control, of extraneous thoughts. Let us not forget, however, that words are but symbols of symbols. They are thus twice removed from reality.

Inspiration For Breakfast – Update

Inspiration For Breakfast is now available as a paperback and eBook on both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

I am proud and happy to announce that today sees the release of my latest literary project Inspiration For Breakfast. It is a compilation of beautifully uplifting quotes of a spiritual, inspirational and motivational nature. There is no story line, no characters and no danger of being disappointed with the ending; just pure unadulterated inspiration. It has been published as a paperback and eBook, but as I type the eBook is still going through the review process in Amazon Kindle and the paperback version is not showing up on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com yet. The reason for this is that newly published books can sometimes take a few days to become visible in online stores. Having said that it can be purchased in Amazon CreateSpace as a paperback for $9.99.

Apart from Inspiration For Breakfast I have just finished recording my latest CD Mantra For The Soul. However, the finished product requires a tiny amount of tweaking, so in the meantime I will be working on the artwork for the cover, label and inner booklet. Oh… and look out for another book of quotes just in time for Christmas!
