You Are Wisdom Personified

Don’t be fooled into thinking that wisdom is something that exists outside of you, and that it is something you have to go looking for. More and more people around the planet are waking up to this NOW; it is this awakening that the whole 21/12/2012 thing was about. Many people were so engrossed in waiting for something that was never going to happen, i.e. the world ending, that they missed what actually did happen. Many of us, all over the globe, are experiencing the drastic changes that spiritual awakening brings. Nobody, anywhere on the planet, needs an imaginary spirit guide to speak through them in a silly voice. The only channeling anyone needs to do is to channel the God within. You yourself are wisdom personified. You yourself are a magnificent eternal being of light that already has “the knowledge that passes all understanding”. Don’t let anyone tell you any different.

Apocalypse Not Now Dear I’m Washing My Hair

Well, it’s here, the dreaded 21 December 2012, and as far as I can see the world hasn’t blown up; also, as the headline suggests, I am far too busy washing my hair to be able take part in an apocalypse; maybe next time. Of course, the world never was going to end; it was just a combination of media sensationalism and the thoughts and theories of the misguided that created the whole affair. In commemoration of this “event”, you may have noticed that I wrote a number of spoof articles over the last few months, with equally spoofed headlines. For those of you who maybe didn’t understand what was meant by these articles, it was just my way of expressing how ridiculous I felt the whole idea was. Oh, by the way, the Corgis are back at work now; they opted for a compromise, the matter has been put to kennel, and militant NUC leader, Ruf Growlington has gone back to Newcastle.

I would now like to take this opportunity to put the lid on the 2012 thing and to give my final views.

There has been a shift, but it is subtle and ongoing. Personally, I have never bothered to read up on the whole Mayan Calendar thing, but I would stake my life on it that the Mayans, at no time, said that the world would end on 21 December 2012. We know that creation is a series of cycles and 21 December 2012 simply heralds the end of the current cycle. People all over the planet have been experiencing a spiritual awakening as we enter the next phase, but we are all at different stages of evolution, therefore we will not all experience the same thing at the same time.

I consider myself very fortunate to have been on the planet at the same time as The Kali Yuga Avatar, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and even more fortunate that Baba made himself known to me and allowed me to experience him in the way that I did. Now, as the new Golden Age dawns and religions continue to compare Gods, in an effort to see whose God is best, and bickering within individual religions continues between the different factions, the underlying fundamental principle of spirituality remains the same:

There is only one religion – The religion of Love,

There is only one language, The language of the heart,

There is only one caste, The caste of humanity,

There is only One God, He is omnipresent ~ Baba

The reason for human birth remains the same; to realise the Divinity within ourselves and others. But as man-made religion has made the spiritual pathway so complicated over the years, Baba with his simple teachings gives us a very straightforward path to Self-realisation. For all of you spiritual aspirants out there who may come across this article, here is your simple formula for spiritual awakening. So, if you follow this formula and at the same time “see good, do good, be good, NOW” you won’t go far wrong.

Start your day with Love,

Fill your day with Love,

Spend your day with love,

End your day with Love,

Queen’s Corgis In Palace Walk-Out Storm

Britain was left reeling today after Buckingham Palace announced that two of Her Majesty The Queen’s Corgis walked out in a dispute over pay and conditions. As the news filtered out it sent tremors through tea rooms all over the country (“I was so shocked I ordered an extra scone” – Binky Bartholomew-Smythe, East Grinstead). As Britain came to terms with this shocking news, messages of support poured in from all over the world (well, sort of)

“The thoughts of the American people are with you” – President Barack Obama

“Bring back the birch, hanging AND national service” – David Cameron

“I always knew them Corgis were trouble” – Ken Barlow

“They bite the hand that feeds them” – Bart Simpson

“Inner tubes are on 2 for 1 all over the festive season” – Bob of Bob’s Bicycles, Kidlington

When asked if it was simply barking mad for the Corgis to stage a walk-out (especially at this time of year) Ruf Growlington, militant leader of the National Union Of Corgis (NUC) said, in a Geordie accent, and I quote, “woof, woof, woof, bark, growl, woof”.

In other news, this reporter caught up with eccentric author, Richard F Holmes at his bunker in Tetbury to see how he is coping with the prospect of the world ending in less than three days time. Richard seemed in a very pensive mood as he crawled out from underneath a huge pile of empty baked bean cans, and I waited with bated breath for his words of wisdom. Then, after what seemed like an age, he looked me in the eyes, and with sage-like eloquence said “don’t be so *#*#??!#* stupid”!

Aliens Ate My Grandmother – 2012 The Sequel To The Prequel To The Sequel in HD & Surround Sound Part Four

I can’t believe that it’s now a year and one month since I wrote my article “Aliens Ate My Grandmother – 2012 The Sequel” https://richardfholmes.org/2011/10/02/aliens-ate-my-grandmother-2012-the-sequel-2/

It was in this article that I revealed my amazing theory to the world as to what was going happen on 21 December 2012. I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by; and we now have just under seven weeks before the world explodes… sorry… only joking! I pulled that stunt last time didn’t I. What I will do now however, is reveal to the world my extended theory on my previous theory.

It is apparent that things have been happening, and surely only the most un-spiritually aware people on the planet can still be oblivious to this. Some people, of course, are indeed experiencing the shift, but they are simply not aware of what is happening. As the cells of our bodies shift with the rest of the energy that comprises our planet, people all over the world are experiencing symptoms that are being mistaken for illness; the most popular being extremely low energy. The trouble is that there has been so much rubbish spouted about this wonderful event that many are dismissing it as either new age fantasy, or they are waiting for a big explosion that simply isn’t going to happen. In a nutshell, the reason that many people are still not aware of what is happening is because it is very subtle.

From a personal perspective I can feel myself waking up, and as the vibration within this dimension has increased so drastically since 1989, it has given the impression of time having speeded up. In fact, everything seems to be moving at an incredible speed now.

Really, there isn’t a great deal more to add, but just before I sign off I would like to share with the reader something I found whilst browsing Amazon recently. A book called The Storm Before The Calm by Neale Donald Walsch appeared on the web page I was viewing and I found the synopsis to this book quite interesting. Mr Walsch is one of my favourite authors and I will share part of the synopsis with you because it speaks volumes:

“Something happened in early 2011 that hasn’t happened in decades, perhaps centuries-and we didn’t even notice it. That is, we didn’t see it for what it was.

Massive unrest from Tunisia to Egypt to Libya rocked the Arab world and threw the globe into political crisis. Within days, an earthquake-tsunami-nuclear calamity of terrifying proportions shocked Japan and sent the world reeling once again, even as the globe’s financial markets shuddered to sustain themselves while states and nations tottered on the brink of bankruptcy – where many still linger.

All of this, of course, we did notice. What we may have missed was that ancient predictions for this period of time called for exactly this: simultaneous environmental, political, and financial disasters. Were we seeing the beginning of ‘the end of history’ – and not picking up the signal”?

For me it’s those last five words that say the most – “not picking up the signal”. You see, it’s been said time and time again throughout the ages that the world we can see is only an illusion. Indeed it was the Greek philosopher Democritus that said “Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is just an opinion”. So the world and his cat is waiting (or not waiting) for something to happen in accordance with their own opinion, and of course, it’s simply not going to happen. Whilst people are or are not waiting for the whole 2012 thing to happen, it’s already happening, only the signals have been missed; this is why those five words are so significant.

But yet there is one more twist in the tale dear reader. What is happening is that the human race is waking up to its truth; which is eternal, constant and changeless. When truth stares into the eyes of illusion, the illusion will simply dissolve; so my amazing extended theory is that there won’t really be any change at all because you can’t change truth; the only thing that will change is the way we see things.

Now if you will excuse me I’m just going to grab a few tins of beans and retire to my bunker…

A New Year’s Blessing

I’ve never been a great lover of New Year’s Eve and tend to just hibernate until it’s all over. This year was no different, but at 00:45 a.m., just 45 minutes into 2012 I decided to start the year with a meditation; and what a wonderful meditation it was. I lit some candles and got comfortable; very quickly blocking out the sound of fireworks from outside. It wasn’t long before I was enfolded in the most amazing celestial presence. It was like being covered in candy floss but without the stickiness; the energy was so soft and gentle. My celestial friend sat next to me and held my hand as I opened my heart and shared my hopes and fears for the coming months.

I have to say that this kind of thing is not uncommon, in fact it’s quite a regular occurrence, and I also have to say that sometimes I do forget just how lucky I really am. I have experiences on a regular basis that many will only ever dream about, and these experiences are as natural to me as switching on a light or making a cup of tea.

As if I wasn’t blessed enough at the onset of 2012, later in the day I made the trip to Bath to attend New Year bhajans with my friends in the Bath Sai Baba Group. We had a wonderful shared lunch followed by devotional singing; it really was a lovely afternoon.

Yes I am a very, very lucky man indeed and I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to God for all the blessings I have received over the years, all the blessings I continue to receive today and the many blessings I will receive in the future….. and to you dear reader I would like to wish you a 2012 of peace, health, happiness and golden opportunities.

Christmas With Baba

On Saturday 17 December 2011 a very special event took place at the Punjabi Community Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom. It was a Christmas celebration and carol service organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisation UK. Nothing so special about that maybe, except that in the past all the SSSSO UK Christmas celebrations have been on a regional basis. 2011 was the first time it was ever held as a national event, and it was a blessing that it just happened to be held in region 7, which covers the area where I live. So, it was with great anticipation that I set off on that Saturday morning and drove the 22 miles or so to Swindon Punjabi Centre.

What never fails to amaze me whenever I attend a Sai event is the amount of sheer hard work and organisation that goes into them. Every minute detail is covered, and this event was no exception.

Because Christmas is, by and large, a Christian celebration, the organisers enlisted the services of two Christian Ministers to conduct the service AND we were also blessed with a gospel choir who travelled all the way down from Leicester. The event started with some devotees singing songs based on Christian Taize chanting. This was followed by the carol service. There then followed an interval for lunch where we feasted on traditional Western Christmas vegetables and stuffing, washed down with non-alcoholic red and white fizzy wine. Once again I feel I have to mention the tremendous hard work that was put in by the volunteer chefs and food servers in feeding the hungry hoards.

During the second part of the proceedings we were treated to the singing of the gospel choir, and the hilarious antics of “Santa” who blessed us by making a surprise appearance. Our wonderful Omnipresent Swami, Sri Sathya Sai Baba made his presence felt throughout the afternoon, and I for one had great difficulty joining in properly with the singing because our Lord constantly filled my heart with his love and my eyes kept filling up with tears.

I also feel that I need to mention here the amazing Patrick (of whom I have spoken in a previous post. Please click on the link to view this post https://richardfholmes.wordpress.com/2011/09/10/sri-sathya-sai-baba-never-forgets-his-children-part-one/ ) As usual, speaking to Patrick was a great inspiration, but I was also amazed yet again at what he told me. If you look at the photo of the stage (above) you will notice the white figures. Well, dear Patrick, noted for his stagecraft skills, was asked at short notice if he could come up with something for the event; and he most certainly did. This amazing man made those figures, working late at night and early morning because he also has a day job. With another colleague he set off from Bath very early in the morning whilst most of us were still in dreamland, in order to arrive in good time at The Punjabi Centre so that the stage could be erected.

I know that it is not Sai policy to single out individuals for special praise, and this is why I want to end this post by mentioning once again the incredible work that all the organizers and volunteers put into this event. As well as the lovely food we were also kept supplied with as much tea, coffee and soft drinks as we needed and there was also the usual sweets and cakes. The Sri Sathya Sai Book Shop, based in North London, also sent some representatives to set up a makeshift shop. I personally acquired two wonderful photos taken from Swami’s final darshan and a fantastic book of spiritual quotes taken from the religions of the world.

Dear friends as we get ready to celebrate this very special time of the year and then welcome in 2012, we should bare in mind that for all of us as individual beings of spirit, our own personal Christmas day will be the day we awaken the Christ Consciousness within ourselves.

Aliens Ate My Grandmother – 2012 The Sequel

So, just what IS going to happen in 2012? I suppose the truthful answer is that we don’t know exactly because we have not experienced it yet. However, we all have our theories; and I am no exception, hence I am sharing my musings with you now. Personally, I can’t wait for 2012 to come; and it will be very interesting for me approximately 14 months from now as I’m sitting in my nuclear fallout shelter reading this, because I will then know just how accurate my theory was/is. Hey! Only joking OK…. there will be no need for nuclear fallout shelters, so don’t panic.

So, is it going to be another millennium bug? Promising great catastrophe on an unprecedented scale, yet producing hardly a whimper. I would give a resounding ”no” to that because the two are simply not related. But, before I blind the reader with my amazing theory I think I’ll deal with what is NOT going to happen in 2012. THE WORLD IS NOT GOING TO END. Right, we have sorted that so lets move on with my amazing theory.

I strongly believe that what is going to happen is actually happening now and has been for some time, and 21 December 2012 (which is the date I believe we are told that ”everything is going to kick off”) will simply be the date that everything reaches its climax. We know that everything within this world of matter has its own frequency of vibration, which resonates in accordance with the purpose that it serves. We also know that literally everything is in constant motion and that there must be a range of frequency, i.e. a high point and a low point, that determines the vibratory boundaries of this dimension. Now, we also know that the consciousness of the human race is rapidly growing as more and more incarnate souls are waking up to their inner Christ consciousness; and because of this, more and more love is being expressed in the world and more and more positive thoughts and actions are being instigated. In accordance with cause and effect this process will be instrumental in raising the rate of vibration within this realm of existence. It stands to reason that this will cause a degree of disruption as the human race and our wonderful planet grow closer to source.

I firmly believe that these changes will come in the form of a wave; a wave of vibration. I also believe that this wave will have a similar effect to a tidal wave, only a tidal wave in slow motion, and when the process reaches its climax the third dimension will have a newer and higher frequency range, in fact it may no longer exist; possibly having merged with the astral realms. As I said, I feel that this process has been going on for some time now, and the significance of 21 December 2012 is that it is simply the date in accordance with God’s intricate and very precise Universal Laws that everything will come together and the process will be complete.

Of course, to say there will be some disruption is an understatement, and those who insist on remaining oblivious to the loving light that permeates throughout the whole of creation will find things extremely difficult indeed (that is also an understatement). As I said at the beginning of this article I am really looking forward to the changes that are coming and I know there are many like me who feel the same. I certainly don’t pretend to be some super-evolved being, but I know for certain that I am more evolved than the average man in the street; and it is for this reason that for many years I have felt like a fish out of water almost everywhere I’ve gone. I am very uncomfortable within the density of this realm of matter and I know there are many on the planet who feel exactly the same way. So it is for this reason that I really cannot wait for 2012 to be upon us.

No doubt there will be many pundits out there who will disagree with my amazing theory. But it is ONLY a personal theory and I don’t make any claims that what I’ve written is set in stone, now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got to go and think up a title for my next article.
