From The Timeless To The Timeless

Life is an arduous journey from the timeless to the timeless, which takes place within the illusion of time and space. On reaching our destination we realise that actually, there never was a destination; all the while we were chasing what we already had. Some time ago, I heard a great analogy that aptly explains this, and I’m going to share it with you here. For the sake of the analogy, please imagine that you are religious. If you already are; fine, it doesn’t matter.

Imagine that you have seen advertised that your favourite preacher is coming to town, and this preacher is appearing at a church near you. For the sake of the story, we’ll call it the Church of Eternal Light. So, you get your ticket and you turn up at the church looking forward to seeing and hearing the preacher. You’ve seen him before; he really puts a fire in your belly. However, when the audience is all seated in anticipation, there comes the announcement that the preacher has been taken sick and there is a last minute replacement. You’ve paid your money so you stay and listen to the replacement. Unfortunately, you find this guy boring, he doesn’t have the same charisma as your favourite and you end up falling asleep.

You start to dream, and in your dream you have to get to the Church of Eternal Light. You set off on your journey, which takes you up and down mountains, across crocodile infested rivers (I had to add a bit of dramatic effect here). You fall over, you get back up and carry on; you fall over again. And so it goes on, seemingly never ending, until…

At last, you have the Church of Eternal Light in your sights. By this time, you are fit to drop, you are almost on your knees as you reach the door of the church. You open the door and walk in. At that same split second, you wake up and realise it was all a dream. All the while, you were already at the Church of Eternal Light.

And that, ladeeeeeeeeez an’ gennelmen is a simplified description of how we roll here on earth.

Peace Or Pieces?

Only in the silence will you hear the voice of Love

When the world seems to be attacking you, all sides

Take a moment…

Retreat into the cavity of your heart

Be embraced by the peace…

That passes all understanding

Let go of the pieces, and

Let the peace do its work

You are only an actor

Playing a part

You don’t have to be a hero

Every day doesn’t have to be a slog

The power of love will nurture you

Without you even realising

Your hardships are your friends

For they cause you, unwittingly

To go on an inner journey

Once you set sail

The Ocean of Love will guide you

So, let go of the pieces

Welcome the peace, and

Be guided by Love

Son Of Eternity

In the depths of The Ocean of Life

I find you waiting – ever patient

Softly whispering to my soul

Your nurturing nature comforts me

It blows gently on my face

Like a warm breeze on a sunny day

My heart melts

Knowing we are One

And like a lover – gently leading a beloved

Hand in hand

Like the tide

We ebb and flow together

Through Lifetimes – transitions and more lifetimes

Leaving soft footprints in our wake

At each transition

I melt into your loving arms

Until…

The next journey beckons

Portal Of Love

One door closes, another one opens as the soul flits from the metaphysical to the physical, backwards and forwards until it no longer has an agenda to fulfill. We have come to know this process of returning to the metaphysical as “death,” ( the name alone would suggest some sort of horrendous experience). However, this is our perception of death in accordance with our conditioning. Apart from what we have been told by other people, we have also been conditioned by TV and film with a constant barrage of thrillers and horror films depicting pain, suffering and death at its most abominable and horrific.

In truth, there is no such thing as death. There is only life, which is never ending and eternal. Not only that, the soul will not return to the metaphysical until it chooses to do so; until it has completed the task it came to the physical to perform. Far from being something horrendous, death is a very important part of life and represents a vital part of the soul’s experience as it continues its journey of evolution.

Death is, in fact, a “Portal of Love” that lights the way as we enter the next stage of our journey.

With Love.
