The Beauty Within

With Nature’s grace

All things have their place

Whether good, bad or ugly

All are just opinions

Expressed by earth’s denizens

Never judge a book by the cover

Never believe you are more regal than another

From an egg

The fascinating caterpillar emerges

Only to disappear into pupal obscurity

Mother Nature weaves her magic, and

The Empress of The Lepidopteran Realm springs forth

In the form of a butterfly

Elegant and magnificent

She flits here and there

Breathing her vibrant magic into the world

In gratitude to the Mother that embraced her

She confers the gift of eggs to the earth

Then like a river that has found the ocean

She surrenders her spirit to the heavens

And so continues the cycle

With Nature’s grace

All things have their place

Whether good, bad or ugly

All are just judgements

Expressed by earth’s denizens

You never know what is contained within

So, be very careful what you opine

Never judge a book by the cover

Never believe you are more regal than another

The Abyss

I have run the course

Faced many obstacles along the way

Nursed many a life-inflicted bruise

Now, as the curtain comes down

On this instalment of life’s dramas

I cannot help but smile…

For as I dive into the abyss

And am welcomed once more

Into the arms of Divinity

I melt into nothingness and muse…

“That was a job well done.”

Our Wonderful Sun

Our true nature (consciousness) can be likened to our wonderful sun that serves our planet and species so admirably with its generous supply of warmth and light. Like the sun when it is obscured by clouds, our essence, our being is also obscured when we incarnate into flesh. Also, as the sun spins from West to East it creates the illusion of rising and setting (appearing and disappearing), when in reality all that has happened is that it has simply moved in and out of the earth’s shadow. Equally, as the earth rotates on its axis we experience night and day, as the part of the planet that we occupy spins away from the sun and then back again. This is just one of many examples of the cyclic nature of life.

Regardless of whether the sun is obscured by clouds, whether it is night or day on earth or whether it is glowing red, orange or yellow, it always remains as “the sun.” In the same way that regardless of which body, if any, we are occupying at any given time and what status that body may have in society and what its life experiences are, it is still subject to the same laws of physics as everything else in our world of matter and will eventually break down.

During all of this drama; of birth, death and the bits in the middle, our true nature remains constant and forever shining…exactly like the sun.

Rainbow Bridge

I’ll meet you on The Rainbow Bridge

When your earth time has expired, and

We’ll run once more through meadows green

Until our legs grow tired

When I gave up my body on that day

You held my furry paw, and

As I crossed over into timelessness

I felt your grief, so raw

We shared a love, so special, so true

Loyalty flowed both ways

Now you miss me curled up at your feet

To ease your lonely days

You never, ever got mad at me

When I left pawprints on your floor

You only ever showed me love

Amour, amour, amour

I’ll welcome you home

As you once welcomed me, and

Took away all my fear

Your loving heart was open, and

You held me there most dear

Yes, I’ll be waiting on The Rainbow Bridge

When your earth time has expired, and

We’ll run once more through the meadows green

Until our legs grow tired

Spring

Branches of trees sway in the breeze

Bursting with green

It’s spring! If you please

Blue sky above

And the warmth of the sun

Mother Nature showers her blessings

On everyone

We Are Never Apart

I was once a star that lit up the sky

Do you honestly believe

That I could leave you and die

I come to you now, not in the human sense

But from the Absolute

The place we were all delivered whence

There is no above and there is no below

There is only the here and now

And the eternal energy flow

The warmth of the sun is my loving embrace

The gentle breeze, my kiss on your face

So worry not, feel the caress of my heart

And rest in the knowledge that we are never apart

Bluebells And Buttercups

Bluebells and buttercups

Have we met before

Were we once intertwined

As we passed through the revolving door

Was I once your mother,

Your lover or your son

Did you hold my hand and weep

As another race was run

Did I hold you in my arms

And smell your scent so sweet, or

Was I the unwashed urchin

You scorned in the street

All possibilities are relevant

Everything has its place

My beautiful bluebells and buttercups

I bow to your loving grace

Watching

I stand here and watch

As you sleep in your bed

Your favourite pillow

Cradling your head

You look so peaceful

Exploring your dreams

Funny how life

Is never as it seems

You cried in pain

The day I left

If only you could see

That you were never bereft

When your time comes to join me

I will greet you with my smile

And take your hand, as together

We walk the golden mile

In the meantime

I stand here and watch

As you sleep in your bed

Your favourite pillow

Cradling your head

I Am The…

I am the loss that caused you to grieve

The heart you wear on your sleeve

I am the rainbow that follows the rain

The winter frost on your window pane

I am the breeze that ruffles your hair

The footsteps you heard on the stair

I am the glint in a baby’s eye

The star that shoots across the sky

I am the balm that soothes your pain

The air you breathe again and again

I am a peacock strutting with style

Search your dreams

You will glimpse my smile

Life is eternal

We are never apart

I am the presence

Forever in your heart

Sand Bay…Again

You welcomed me with open arms

The sun it shone

highlighting your magical charms

A perfect breeze across my face

Confirming you as my happy place

The primrose and bluebells

You came to greet

Me, as the blades of grass swayed around my feet

Away from you

I am but a nightingale without a song

So, thank you birds for your chorus of love

Your symphony; your euphoric throng

Sand Bay, take me in your arms, and

Caress me sweetly

Whisper your love, and

Forever keep me
