A Question To The God Of Religion

Hey Mister, yes, you! I’m talking to you. Answer me this? How come, “your” creation never fails to amaze us, it is constantly evolving and revealing untold wonders to us, but on the other hand, your religion continues to bask in the Dark Ages? Could the answer be twofold? Could it be that your religion is man-made and you don’t exist anyway? If that’s the case, I’m having this conversation with myself.

And another thing…

Your Lord’s prayer is grossly outdated and not in line with the current evolutionary path of the human race. Now…all is not lost, so I don’t want you to worry. I’m about to put forward an amended version, which is more in line with the times. I had a go at this some months ago, so this is an amendment to the amended version.

PS – To the real God, I wouldn’t mind your opinion on this, and if you don’t fancy communicating telepathically, I’ll accept an email.

Heavenly Friend, who resides within us

Hallowed be our name

Our kingdom come

Our will be done

In the whole of creation

Thank you for meeting all our needs, and

For showing us that we do not need to be forgiven

Please lead us into temptation

In order that we may experience all aspects of life

Don’t deliver us from evil

But show us that evil only exists because we create it

For ours is the kingdom

The power to love gloriously

For ever and ever

I recently found a cyber-friend of mine on another well-known social media site (you know who you are!), and on viewing her page, I came across the most wonderful post. I liked it so much, and it provoked so much thought within me, that I wanted to share it with you here. I am not quoting word for word, but I think you will get the gist; it concerns peeling potatoes; or as I like to call them, “spuds”. It goes something like this..

Religion based spirituality – Peeling potatoes, thinking about God.

Zen spirituality – Peeling potatoes.

At first glance you would think that the religious person is a goody-two-shoes; thinking about God whilst engaged in a fairly mundane task. However, unless you have an understanding of Zen and are able to look deeper into what is being said, there is a good chance that this is the only conclusion you will draw.

In the first example, the person’s mind is active; and is therefore giving life to the non-existent ego, or false self.

In the second example, the person is simply Being and is therefore at one with “All That Is”.

It has occurred to me that Zen is the direct experience of our own Divinity.

Eyesight To The Blind – Proposed Synopsis

I’m pleased to showcase the proposed synopsis for my forthcoming book, Eyesight To The Blind. I’ve had a few plays with it already, so it may yet change. But I think either way, I’m just about there with it, so any future changes will only be minor. Your comments as readers would be appreciated!

(I’ve made a couple of amendments since the original post).

This is an extraordinary book that tells the story of the author’s journey from a place of darkness to one of light. You will experience a roller coaster ride of highs and lows as he takes your hand and leads you on a guided tour into the depths of depression and despair. Whilst there you will feel his pain, you will be impressed by his brutal honesty and you will also laugh.. a lot! You will then ascend; out of the darkness and into the love.

This is not just another run-of-the-mill book on the paranormal; it is also an essential guide for daily living. Author Richard F Holmes bares his soul as he gives the reader an insight into a medium’s work and life on the road, his well over 200 out-of-body adventures and how he has experienced different realms of existence and interacted with discarnate souls. Incredibly, he then explains how it all pales into insignificance as life starts to reveal its true meaning.

“As I take the reader through each stage of my journey from childhood to present day, I have tried to write from the perspective of the mind-set and understanding that I had at the time. The idea is that the reader evolves with the writer through mutual experience.
