I’m Still Here

I’ve been very quiet lately as I’ve been having laptop problems. My regular laptop has ceased to be and I’m struggling through with an old one that is still running windows xp. As a result I have been late in publishing my latest little project, From Logic To Enlightenment as an eBook on Kindle. It has also been a bit of a performance producing two book trailers to coincide with the launch; so it’s all a bit hit and miss at the moment.

Anyway, I hope to be back to normal soon; in the meantime, here are the two book trailers for your enjoyment (comments would be appreciated) and links to where you can buy the paperback version in the US and UK. Also, as if you needed reminding, all royalties from online sales are being donated to The Cotswold Care Hospice. For more info please visit: http://cotswoldcare.org.uk

Logic - Updated Cover

An Update On The Update

Well I managed to finish the interior of my new booklet and submit the files, which got approved overnight. So today I was able to order the proof copy. It’s coming by rocket post from the USA so it should get to me by Friday! Once the paperback has been published I will format the file for Kindle, so we should be in business in plenty of time for Christmas.

Here is the updated cover (I decided to change the font), and don’t forget; 100% royalties from all online sales are being donated to The Cotswold Care Hospice. For more details of what goes on at Cotswold Care visit www.cotswoldcare.org.uk

An Update

Hi! Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet lately. I’ve had a major computer failure and am currently struggling along with an old and slow laptop. As a result I’ve had to cancel all my forthcoming broadcasts on Blog Talk Radio. There is one piece of good news however. I’m currently working on another project, which is near to completion. It’s a booklet called From Logic To Enlightenment.

A delightful book of spiritual insights, miracles and revelations derived mainly from the author’s actual experiences.

!00% royalties from online sales are to be donated to Cotswold Care Hospice, which is where I work for three days of the week. I hope to be up and running as normal again soon. Thanks for hanging in there, and in the meantime take a look at my new cover below and leave your comments. I’d love to know what you think of it. See you soon!

A New Project – Update

Burn with loveWhat started off as a bit of a comedy of errors actually turned out to be a very satisfying first show. It was no coincidence that I chose Author Janice Ross as my first guest. Janice is an accomplished broadcaster on Blog Talk Radio (BTR) and I knew that if there were any technical hitches Janice would be able advise me accordingly. Janice, bless her, didn’t even get home from work until 15 minutes before we were due on air, so it was quite amazing how everything came together in the end.

It was so typical of how I tend to do things that I had not realised that, as the host, I too needed to “call in” to the show. With just a couple of minutes to go before the show was due to start, Janice had called and was on hold while yours truly was still fumbling around trying to work things out. Thankfully we were able to communicate via facebook messaging and she enlightened me.

The show had already been running for a couple of minutes before we actually got going, but once the dust settled everything was fine. Because of all the positive feedback, I’ve decided to go ahead with a six-episode series of Holmsey’s Half-Hour and then take it from there. I already have some amazing guests lined up, so I hope you will join me when the next show airs on October 20 at 9:00 pm UK time.

In the meantime please visit my new facebook page and give it a “like”. Thanks all!

A New Project

At The Brooklyn Book Fayre - Septenber 2014

At The Brooklyn Book Fayre – Septenber 2014

Today sees my first venture into the world of broadcasting as I host the pilot episode of my new show, “Holmsey’s Half-Hour” on Blog Talk Radio. The show will be spiritually themed and I will be chatting to inspirational people from all walks of life. For those who missed my previous post on this subject and who are not connected with me on social media, my first special guest will be Author Janice Ross. I chose Janice for the first show because of the selfless way she promotes her fellow authors.

Janice is also a very spiritual lady and role model for everyone. Janice has a great sense of humour too so I know we will have a lot of fun. If you are unable to tune-in live when the show goes out at 11:00 pm UK time tonight, it’s no problem, as you simply have to click on the link anytime after the event to listen to the recording.

I hope you will join me later, and if you like what you hear, I hope that you will also click the “follow” button to receive all the latest news and updates related to the show.

Healing With The Angels

The new CD with the updated artwork on the disc face is now available. I’m glad I decided to change it as it looks much better than the original. For reasons known only to Amazon, my CDs are still only available to buy online in the USA; any UK clients need to contact me direct.

This is my last communication now before I go away on my trip to West Wales. Will be in touch soon and thanks again for supporting my blog.

What’s Happening?

DB StudiosToday I was at DB Studios in Stroud, Glos remastering my CD Healing With The Angels. Because I have now started a job it will be my final project for this year. Up to now Healing With The Angels has only been available directly from me; the original was also recorded at DB Studios, but I have always burnt copies from the master, and done all the packaging myself. This project, however, is particularly exciting for me because I have added a musical backing track, which I played myself on synthesiser, and the finished product will be professionally packaged and available for purchase on Amazon. I expect the manufacturing and proofing process to take 6-8 weeks, so I am looking at a mid-August release.

The original recording, edit and mix back in 2009 and today’s remastering, including the laying down of the backing track, was all engineered by the amazingly skillful Chris Panton. Cheers Chris! You’re a star!

Ricky’s Raw Recipes #12

Hello raw food slurpers! It’s been a few weeks since my last recipe so I thought it was about time to raid my fridge again and see what I could knock up. This recipe really is a concoction because, as things stand, the cupboards (and fridge) are a bit bare.

So, I started as usual by adding a large glass of water to my blender. I then added an apple, a stick of celery, half a green pepper, a piece of cucumber and a good quantity of spinach. I topped this off with the juice of half a lime. The end result was just about palatable, however, I’m including this recipe for a good reason. Had I not been out of fresh root ginger and been able to add a large chunk to the mix, I’m sure it would have been a great raw food concoction. It didn’t make me grimace when I was drinking but there was definitely something lacking. Try it yourself, but make sure you add the ginger, and if the taste doesn’t transport you immediately to juice heaven I’ll eat my blender! Laterz…

Ricky’s Raw Recipes #11

2007-11-08 14.21.44This is a great little juice that I threw together today. Shock! Horror! It was the second day in a row that I juiced without fresh ginger; I even went shopping and forgot to buy it. So, all the more reason for me to post this recipe because even without ginger it tasted great! Here goes…

I added just under a pint of water to my blender and threw in a stick of celery, a chunk of cucumber, a handful of red grapes, some green beans, an apple and a generous helping of spinach. I whizzed as I went along and gave the whole lot a good old whizzing at the end. I have found now that the longer you whiz, the closer your concoction gets to being a smoothie!

I’m going to finish with a question:
