Who Am I? Part Eighteen

This post is going to be like one of those films where they keep switching from one scene to the other because there are several stories going on at the same time, which all come together in the end. Firstly, as far as work was going, I fell for the yarn that was spun to me prior to accepting the new position, and was swept away on the crest of a wave of delusion. I was constantly making enquiries as to whether any new positions were coming up, and I had my heart set on joining the marketing team. I was bored with key accounts, and my efforts to get myself noticed didn’t go down very well with key accounts management. So much so, that my line manager eventually took me to one side and reminded me that I was a customer agent in the key accounts team; implying that I should know my place and get on with the job I was paid to do.

Eventually, I was offered a position within the marketing team; I was elated! If only I knew then what was just around the corner! It was cloud cuckoo land for several months. The job was only a side-step, but the marketing manager promised me it would lead to a promotion. During a conversation I had with the key accounts manager some weeks after taking up the new position in marketing, I mentioned what I had been told about getting promoted; he just laughed and walked off! This was a sign of what was to come. But in the meantime I was still riding the crest of a wave. There was long lunches, paid for on the managers’ expense accounts, and even though I was quite a low grade I was issued with a company mobile phone and I could also claim any expenses that I incurred on my travels. I should mention that my new job entailed managing the products that we were trying to sell to our commercial customers. This meant going out on the road from time to time, hence I was allowed to claim any expenses incurred. As well as ordering any stocks that I thought we needed I was also responsible for managing the installation of the aforementioned products. By this time I was no longer using the rail warrant to get to work. I had been advised to take out a company loan and buy a car, as I would need one to do my new job. This I did, and because I was not the only one commuting from Swindon, we would car share so that the burden of fuel expense could be shared.

In the meantime I had started going back to the spiritualist church on a more regular basis. Nothing had particularly changed; I still felt that there was a staleness to Spiritualism and the atmosphere in the church was pretty much exactly as it was. This time however, I did get to meet several people who I could relate to, and eventually I decided to go along to what they called the “open circle”, which was held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. An open circle is not something that I would particularly advise participating in these days; they can actually be quite dangerous, but at that time it suited me. The open circle is for people who are wanting to find out more about Spiritualism and to start to develop their psychic and mediumistic abilities. It’s called an open circle because anybody can come and sit. Me and my particular group of friends formed the nucleus of the open circle; there was about six of us. When it was just us it was great, but sometimes there would be loads of people turning up, and everyone brings their own horrors with them so to speak, so an open circle is not always the ideal experience. Meanwhile back in Reading…

My best mates at work were Gary and Huw. Gary was one grade below middle-management within the marketing team and he lived in London. Huw was also in the marketing team and lived in Swindon; he was one of the car sharers. From time to time Gary would come to Swindon and stay at Huw’s house and we would get together over a few bears and have a real laugh. Eventually, I realised that my sexy new job was nothing of the sort. My line manager had previously been responsible for what I was now doing. When it became apparent that it entailed a lot of hassle and that it was pretty much a losing battle, they needed someone to dump on, and that person was me. In theory the products were great, but in practice they simply didn’t work; mainly because of the many unforeseen problems with installation. Cracks started to appear and eventually someone very high up within the organisation realised that our new all-singing-all-dancing marketing department was haemorrhaging money. Thousands of pounds had been spent with very little return so heads had to roll. Incredibly, there was only one actual redundancy that I remember, but there was a huge restructuring. The one bloke who got made redundant was Dave. He was one of the three salespeople and a really good bloke. As ever in these situations it was the people who had been responsible for the biggest mess who came up smelling of roses once the dust had settled, poor Dave was just a scapegoat. Meanwhile back at the oasis…

Prior to things turning sour, I started a relationship with a woman called Sue. She worked in the same building as me in Reading; she was upstairs in graphic design. We were together for six months, during which time I was incredibly insensitive towards her. I really didn’t appreciate her and eventually we parted company. For me, it was a case of, “you don’t know what you’ve got till its gone”, but we still had some good times together. I’m mentioning Sue because I think she is quite significant to my story at this time, which will become clearer a little later. We had two things in common, an interest in Spiritualism and alcohol.

Eventually, I got more involved with trying to develop myself spiritually, and there is a milestone moment I will share with you. I’ll also have to backtrack because it was the first time I ever went to the open circle.  It was as though something inside me was saying, “now is the time to go forward”, so I decided that I was going to go to this open circle thing. The person in charge said we were going to try something called psychometry, which is to pick up information from an object by holding it. For example, by holding a piece of jewellery in your hand you may be able to pick up information about who has worn it. Most of the others present seemed quite apprehensive but I quickly offered myself forward to have a go, and to my amazement I was able to give some fairly accurate information to complete strangers simply by holding the items they had brought with them. This was the springboard for me and now there was no holding me back.

Because this period is quite involved I’m going to split it into two parts as I want to keep the reader’s interest. So I’m going to get straight on with part nineteen.

Life Is But A Dream

I am so very lucky.  I know that death is nothing more than a figment of the imagination.  I have been out of my body on many occasions and I have interacted with discarnate souls on the astral planes via telepathy.  In my astral form I learned to pass through solid objects and I can also will myself back into my body when I become bored with the experience.  Ah!  I love that word ”experience”, for to experience is to know.  But knowledge without experience is only theory or concept.

Yes, I am so very lucky, for I know from experience that this earthly life is nothing but a dream.

Marcus Aurelius

In December 2006 I approached my friend, and wonderful psychic artist, Patrick Andrews to do a spirit guide portrait for me.  Patrick only needs a piece of handwriting, which he tunes into, in order to produce such a picture.  As we live in different towns this was very convenient for me.  I sent a piece of my handwriting through the post and waited for him to tell me it was ready for collection.
In early January 2007 I got the call from Patrick and duly arranged to go and collect it.  I had no idea who the guide was; and all Patrick could tell me was that he’d had the name “Aurelius” flash through his mind whilst drawing.  I took the portrait home, got myself a nice big frame a few days later, stuck it up on the wall and kind of forgot about it.  In the ensuing weeks I got a vague picture of Aurelius a few times during meditation, but it really was very vague, so I simply forgot about it some more.
At some stage during the summer of 2010 this character started to draw close to me during my meditations and also started to work with me very closely when I was engaged in my spiritual work, to the extent that we became very close.  I was most glad to be associated with this extremely strong presence.
In February 2011 I was reading the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, and in the particular chapter I was reading the author quoted the most wonderful piece of philosophy from a character by the name of Marcus Aurelius, who apparently lived about 2000 years ago.
“Accept whatever comes to you woven in the pattern of your destiny, for what could more aptly fit your needs”.
I thought this a coincidence, but in my typically apathetic way, I didn’t think too much about it.
Over the next few weeks I started to think that this was too much of a coincidence.  Then on the evening of 17 March 2011 I finally decided to Google the name “Marcus Aurelius”.  To my amazement there was a whole universe of information about this truly great being.
Marcus Aurelius (121 – 180) was a Roman emperor.  He was one of only five Roman emperors to have been considered “good”.  He was also revered as a great philosopher.  The most incredible thing was that the busts of him displayed on Wikipedia did bear a remarkable resemblance to the portrait that hangs on my wall.
I know that in truth names are meaningless and that you now enjoy life in the timeless realms of the nameless and formless, but I shall still refer to you as Marcus for the sake of human logic.  So, I am truly honoured Marcus that you have made yourself known to me and that we now enjoy a close bond of brotherhood.  God bless you brother!

Why Would You Need A Sidekick To Astral Project? 2

So, in the previous article we established why I have been escorted to various astral locations.  But in doing so the question arose as to why, if I already have experience of these places at various stages of my existence, do I have to experience them again in this lifetime.  The answer to this question, I believe, is simple and I shall now endeavour to explain.

We know that when we incarnate into flesh our limitless “God memory” is temporarily veiled from us.  We also know that each incarnation into flesh represents a gradual unfolding of awareness that leads us to a greater understanding of who we really are.  This unfolding is achieved via our experiences, regardless of whether we perceive them to be good or bad.  If our memories were not temporarily veiled from us we would still have access to ”the wisdom of the ages” during our time within the Earth dimension and we would be able to breeze through life, thus rendering the whole journey completely pointless; it is via our greatest hardships that we gain our greatest strengths.  We also get to know more about ourselves through our trials and tribulations.  So, with all this in mind it is apparent to me that the whole purpose of my astral journeys is to give me access to certain detail that has been temporarily screened from me.  It then jogs my memory to the extent that I have been able to write about the experiences, and in doing so, I have given others a glimpse into areas of creation that they would not otherwise have; areas of creation that exist beyond the Earth vibration.

I have been able to share with others such truths as; we are solid beings no matter what dimension we dwell in, we communicate mainly via telepathy beyond the Earth plane and that our thoughts materialise instantaneously on the astral planes.  These are just three examples but I think the reader will get the gist of what I’m trying to say here.

All that remains is for me to thank Melissa in sunny California for planting the seed in my head and prompting these two articles.  Thanks Melissa and I hope I have managed to satisfy your curiosity.

Why Would You Need A Sidekick To Astral Project?

Someone wrote a review of my book, Astral Travelling, The Avatar and Me, recently.  It was by no means a bad review, but it posed a question that had only ever fleetingly popped through my mind; “why should you need another soul on hand to assist you if you astral project?”  Why should you indeed!  I must admit that it made me think; I’d never given it any serious thought before, I was just grateful for all the amazing experiences I’d had over the years.  So, the question having been posed, my brain whirred into action.

The first thing that occurred to me is that I don’t consider what I do to be astral projection.  To me ”astral projection” implies that you are going to project yourself to a predetermined destination; therefore, you are setting off with a clear goal in mind.  I have indeed astrally projected in the past, but this has always been on an inner level; usually in a group and usually for the purpose of clearing a house where there are negative energies causing mischief.  I have also astrally projected on my own, on an inner level, to visit people I know for various purposes.  What I wrote about in my book, to me anyway, has got nothing to do with astral projection.  It’s also got nothing to do with what are commonly referred to as near death experiences, where someone may find themselves hovering over their own physical body.

I’m aware that people may have their own definitions and opinions of these subjects and may disagree, but I would like to point out as well that I am not “of the norm” shall we say.  With very few exceptions I avoid the company of other mediums and psychics like the plague and also steer clear of anything remotely resembling mainstream new ageism, spiritualism and religion etc.  I have been guided in a certain direction, and that is the direction I’m going to take; in fact, I believe very strongly indeed that I have barely started my spiritual work yet.

When I astral travel, I never know where I’m going to end up; this is why I believe I get escorted to the destination.  I also firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and these destinations are carefully selected for me to gain the experience of them.  After all, I never get brought back; I always make my own way back simply by using the power of thought, or I seem to instantaneously end up back in my body if it’s just a fleeting visit.  So, what criteria are used to determine which particular destination and when?

The destinations are chosen because they represent significant points; milestones even, in my existence.  They are places I have visited on many occasions in the past; places where I have lived and places where I have worked.  Each and every one of us is a timeless and formless being of light.  But we have taken form at various stages and eras in imaginary time, in many dimensions and for many different purposes.  These places are places that I have no memory of whilst I am encased in flesh within the Earth dimension, but they are places that I actually know very well indeed.  This would explain why, when I encounter other beings on my travels, that they quite often appear to know me.  This has now thrown up another question.  If I have already experienced these places in the past, why do I need to experience them again during this sojourn into flesh?  Hmmm I feel another blog post coming on….. watch this space.

Let Us Fall In Love Again

Let us fall in love again
and scatter gold dust all over the world.
Let us become a new spring
and feel the breeze drift in the heavens’ scent.
Let us dress the earth in green,
and like the sap of a young tree
let the grace from within sustain us.
Let us carve gems out of our stony hearts
and let them light our path to Love.
The glance of Love is crystal clear
and we are blessed by its light.
